This morning I woke up to a bit of stiffness and soreness from yesterday’s workout. It feels good on one hand because I “feel” the muscles got a good workout. On the other hand, moving a bit slow and feeling like I’m 949 years old.
When I run across things that inspire me, I would like to share them with you all. Today’s inspiration came from a fortune cookie I got several years ago. I didn’t know exactly where this would come in handy, but today is the day. I sometimes wonder if in today’s pandemic impacted reality, that people are more driven by focusing on negativity. Chief Master Hoover would tell us “What you think is what you say, what you say is what you do, and what you do defines who you become.” When I think about this, and looking at the fortune cookie image, I am choosing whenever possible to dream about the possible, rather than dwell on why something might be impossible. A final thought here is from Eternal Grandmaster H.U. Lee. “Today impossible, tomorrow possible”. Pushing out the negative thoughts and replacing with positive thoughts makes this all work in my opinion.
Today, my workout is a little abbreviated, as I was teaching tonight.
- Songahm 1-5 one time each
- Extra focus on rotation at the end of each technique
- 20 front kicks each leg
- 20 round kicks each leg
- 20 side kicks each leg
- 20 hook kicks each leg
- 20 crescent kicks each leg
- 20 reverse side kicks each leg
See ya tomorrow!
