I’m going to combine a bunch of days together as this weekend was the annual Black Belt camp in Spirit Lake, IA. I had to be down there Friday for a workout with the regions high ranks. The main goal I had was to learn as much of my current form as possible. I have to make up a section in my form, with specific number of moves and specific direction changes.
I picked today’s image mostly because this weekend marked a number of changes. First, there will be a new presiding grand master inducted this year, and we got to hear some of the vision he has for the organization. There were some changes to how we are to present and teach some of the moves. There were new colored belt weapons curriculums introduced. Change can be good if you are ready to accept it.
I was able to learn my whole form, get some good tips on sparring and combat, new self-defense drills, as well as get some additional detail on previous material. 13+ hours of training across two days. I took a couple rest days on Sunday and today and will be back at it with more detailed workouts the rest of this week.
See ya tomorrow!!
